2012 Teens' Top Ten Nominations
School will be out in a couple weeks, and if you are looking for some good books to read over the summer break, check out the 2012 Teens' Top Ten Nominations. Teens ages 12-18 will be able to vote online in August and September for their favorites from this list, and the top ten books will be announced during Teen Read Week in October. A few of the titles we do not own, but you should be able to get a copy sent here from another library. Go ahead and start crossing off the titles you read so you will be ready to vote in August!

New books out today, and a birthday!
Happy birthday to Katniss Everdeen, District 12 tribute in The Hunger Games! In the book The Hunger Games we find out that May 8 is the birthday of the girl on fire. Let's celebrate with some new books:

New release Tuesday: "Insurgent," "Bitterblue," & more!

I have been waiting for this book for months! Insurgent is the follow up to last year's Divergent. This dystopian series is set in a future Chicago, where everyone belongs to one of five factions: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Erudite, or Dauntless. Author Veronica Roth will be appearing at Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville this Friday at 7 PM!
Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
The next entry in the popular Seven Kingdoms fantasy series, which also includes Graceling and Fire. Author Kristin Cashore will be appearing at Anderson's Bookshop this Saturday at 2 PM!
The Drowned Cities by Paolo Bacigalupi
This is a companion novel to 2010's dystopian sci-fi thriller Ship Breaker.
